Allergies
View Allergies
If the patient has allergies the Known Allergies alert displays in the patient banner.
The allergies are detailed in the Patient Summary, and accessed by swiping the screen.
To access the Allergy view:
- iPad users - Select More in the Tab bar and then select Allergies in the Tab bar at the bottom of the screen.
- iPhone users - Select More in the Tab bar and then select Allergies from the Navigation menu.
Adding Non-Drug Allergy
Vision Anywhere supports the recording of both drug and non-drug allergies.
- Open an Encounter.
- Enter 'a' in the dynamic data entry bar to trigger the allergy forms.
- Select Non-drug allergy.
The form displays. - Record allergy Description by entering the causative agent, for example peanut allergy, as you type entries display.
- Select the allergy you require.
- Use the Arrow to record:
- Reaction type
Options - Allergy / Intolerance / Adverse Effect - Certainty
Options - Tentative / Unlikely / Possible / Likely / Certain / Absolute - Severity
Options - Minimal / Mild / Moderate / Severe / Very Severe / Potentially Fatal
- Reaction type
- Enter any comments in the Notes field.
- Select Add to finish.
Adding Drug Allergy
Vision Anywhere supports the recording of both drug and non-drug allergies.
- Open an Encounter.
- Enter 'a' in the dynamic data entry bar to trigger the allergy forms.
- Select Drug Allergy and the Drug Allergy form displays.
- Enter a clinical term in the Description field, for example, adverse reaction to penicillins. Entries return as you type.
- Select the clinical term to record.
- Enter the Drug name to record the triggering medication.
As you type entries display.
You can swipe up to access more entries. - Select the drug required.
- Using the arrows record:
- Reaction type
Options - Allergy / Intolerance / Adverse Effect - Certainty
Options - Tentative / Unlikely / Possible / Likely / Certain / Absolute - Severity
Options - Minimal / Mild / Moderate / Severe / Very Severe / Potentially Fatal
- Reaction type
- Enter any comments in the Notes field.
- Select Add to finish.
